Breaking: Hurricane Florence relief more than $125 million in E&E funding in North Carolina

To ensure that impacted communities across the country take advantage of this funding, more than 25 people with local knowledge — a broadcast journalist, a radio reporter, an AP reporter, and a blogger who covers hurricane and disaster events— developed a list of 41 most-relocated communities across the United States. These journalists took a close look at each community’s needs, and when they came to their conclusions, they urged lawmakers to designate local businesses in communities to receive federal funds as part of the Build Back Better program. The official list of approved projects will be released later this fall, and it will reveal how all of the steps (from starting construction to finishing it) will be handled in each community.
